Congratulations to Mrs.Depew!
Mrs. Depew's class was focusing on Food Chains and Food Webs. She had Soarin' Hawk come and present to the 6th grade class. They brought four different birds that they have rescued and use as educational birds. The presenters spent an hour educating the students about these birds of prey and answered the students' questions. The next two days of class they worked on dissecting owl pellets. The owl pack included a student booklet, owl pellet, and bone identification sheet. The students learned what type of animals the owls consumed. The students finished the lesson by creating food webs for the Barn Owl's environment.
